Vodka with Character—Unfiltered by Design

ZAKUSKA isn’t your typical, ultra‑neutral vodka. We crafted it for people who appreciate flavor, honesty, and spirits that speak for themselves. It’s meant to be sipped, shared, and celebrated—chilled, neat, or however feels right.

Changing the Rules — Legally

Until Spring 2020, the TTB (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) defined vodka as “neutral spirits without distinctive character, aroma, taste, or color” Keller and Heckman+12Food & Wine+12Nemiroff+12. That meant, technically, any hint of difference, even from grain, was a no-go.

Then the rule changed. Vodka is now legally allowed to show character, aroma, and flavor. As a result, Zaksuka vodka can create an honest reflection of it’s ingredients without neutralizing them with a ton of filtration. Food & WineKeller and Heckman.

Why Unfiltered Makes Sense

Most vodka gets filtered dozens of times until it’s blank. We go the other way. ZAKUSKA skips that ultra‑polish, preserving warmth and nuance straight from our blend of wheat, corn, and our process.

What you get is depth—warm honey, fig, spice—without heavy filtration dulling it. It’s vivid enough to sip neat, yet smooth under ice or in a cocktail.

Enjoy It Your Way

We recommend it chilled and neat—that’s how the flavor sings most clearly—but honestly, do you. Whether it’s shots, martinis, Moscow Mules, or just a relaxed evening with friends, ZAKUSKA is made to bring you there.

Rooted in Tradition, Made for Today

Inspired by Eastern European toast culture and made right here in Brooklyn, ZAKUSKA reflects both history and craft. It’s unfiltered vodka with character and intention—made to be noticed, shared, and remembered.
